Design, art and ramblings of Craig Metzger

In this feature we bring you images, info and opinions on some products that you can find in stores right now. Unless we think that something's totally fucking stupid and we feel like we really have to tell you about how stupid it is, nothing that appears here will ever get a bad review. In short: this is the best stuff.

  Nike SB Zoom Tre A.D.

It's no secret that we have a pretty close relationship with Nike SB. Not only were they our first advertiser but, similarly, we were the first web site that they ever advertised on. We brought you on tour with them when they premiered their first full length video, we recently brought you a podcast interview with their new art director and we've shown you a number of product releases from them over the last year or so since we launched. We like those guys.

A few weeks ago they were kind enough to bring us to Portland to introduce us to their newest shoe release which is essentially the next chapter in the Zoom Tre story (that actually started with the E-Cue... or was it the URL?). They took the Tre, added some new technology and peppered it with some new good looks. And the shoe doesn't only look different but it acts different.... it's basically got a Nike Free sole that thinks it's vulcanized. Click below to listen to what the A.D.'s designer, James Arizumi, has to say, then scroll down to see the colorways that'll be coming out over the next couple of months. If you want to learn even more, click on that banner on the top right and it'll take you to their Tre A.D. mini site. Then next time you're in a skate shop pick one up (literally, in your hands) and see for yourself.
