In this feature we bring you images, info and opinions on some products that you can find in stores right now. Unless we think that something's totally fucking stupid and we feel like we really have to tell you about how stupid it is, nothing that appears here will ever get a bad review. In short: this is the best stuff.

  Livestock Monthly Pick:
  Nike Women's Dunk

I had a hard time trying to come up with what to say about these shoes. The colorway is sick, but what else can I say, really? They're Nike's, yup. They're Dunk Hi's, yup. But that's obvious. So instead of talking about shoes, I decided I'd talk about something else. I'm going to talk about that movie, "Be Kind, Rewind"...

Before I went and saw it, I surfed the information super highway and I read some reviews written by some ordinary folks who had already gone to see it. Some reviews were good... but alot of them were quite negative. Some even claimed that this was, "The worst movie ever!". From the trailers I had seen, and knowing that it was a Michel Gondry film, I thought it would be right up my alley, and I didn't want to let these bad reviews get to me. So I went to the movie with optimism. Now I know that the ordinary people who wrote those reviews are the very extraordinary morons of this world that I can't stand anyways. So screw their reviews! "Be Kind, Rewind", in my opinion, was really good. It lacked all the bullshit that seems to be the criteria for a blockbuster hit these days. Me personally, I'm sick of seeing the same old crap over and over again. I'm a little bored of completely witless humor. I don't care to see mind boggling action and millions of dollars worth of explosives going off. I have yet to be completely numbed to the over the top, and intentionally shocking violence and gore, and I'm not into sleazy sex scenes and random pointless nudity. No thanks. Not for me. I want to see something just a little bit different. Something with some heart and jeebus forbid, maybe some creativity?! Another thing I noticed about some of the reviews I read was that they complained about the ending, saying that it was inconclusive. And here's what I have to say to those people: "You missed the point!".

I would definitley recommend this movie, but first, a warning: this movie is not full of outrageous stupidity. And the plot is maybe not as cut and dry as your typical Hollywood drivel. But, if you like things that are just a little different you just might like it too. And now that I think about it, these shoes are in a way, kind of like the movie. they're not totally crazy or offbeat like some trippy foreign film festival movie is. It's just a Dunk, right? But it's the colors that make it special. Michel Gondry is the silver, Mos Def is the pink, Jack Black, the orange, and I suppose Danny Glover is the yellow. And all together, they make a pretty awesome combination... that just may not be for everyone.
